Gary died from brain cancer in 2010 and one of the last things he asked his family to do was to make something good come of his death. We’ve  been honoring Gary his memory by declaring May 9 – his birthday – “Gray Day” and have spread the word in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana asking people to wear gray that day for brain cancer awareness.
